Proximate Purpose versus Remote Purpose.

Apply this deduction even during this season we are Required to practice social distance.

Missing our hangouts meetings but it is just for a season.

And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Genesis 50:18‭-‬20 KJV

“In the quest for purpose, we must distinguish between proximate and remote purposes. The proximate refers to that which is close at hand. The remote refers to the distant, far-off, ultimate purpose.
We remember the poignant meeting between Joseph and his brothers, when the brothers feared recriminations from their powerful brother for the treachery they had committed against him. But Joseph saw a remarkable concurrence at work between proximate and remote intentions. He said, ” You meant it for evil; God meant it for good.”

Here the proximate and the remote seemed to be mutually exclusive. The divine intention was the exact opposite of the human intention. Joseph’s brothers had one goal; God had a different one. The amazing truth here is that the remote purpose was served by the proximate one. This does not diminish the culpability of the brothers. Their intent and their actions were evil. Yet it seemed good to God to let it happen that His purpose might be fulfilled.

We can rest assured that everything happens together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
My friend you may not see the good now when going through the PIT,POTIPHER’S HOUSE AND THE PRISON.But rest assured when you get to your PRIME MINISTER POSITION. You will rejoice and say Iam glad that I was afflicted for I learned to trust the Lord.

Great enlightenment. May the grace of God help us bear with unpleasant situations and view them as just proximate purpose that will usher us to the fulfilling remote purpose of God upon our lives, which eventually edify the Body of Christ, for the glory of God.
    God bless you, Pastor.
