The Power of the Cross of Jesus Christ

pexels-photo-415571 I had a dream that I was standing outside our house and in front of me stood a huge monument; an image of a house help called Muthoni. She was dressed like a girl and everyone that passed stood shortly to look and wonder at this girl. Muthoni is my name. I then started to climb a structure against which the monument stood. I carried a wooden cross as I climbed. When I reached the top, the monument collapsed and poured as pieces of marble that had been used to mould it. I then flew freely in the air above so many people who had gathered in what looked like a crusade. I was preaching to them as they waved at me in the air so joyously.
This dream captures the state of captivity we grew up in and finally the power of deliverance released to me and my siblings when most of us got born again and sought the Lord.
There was actually an altar in our family, that of being employed as house helps, or doing wage labour that did not pay well. Not once or twice did my sisters and I accompany my mother for this wage labour. The adults in the 80s were receiving Ksh. 60 as daily pay, whereas us children got so little. During my first time, I got Ksh. 5, the second time Ksh. 1 and 50 cents and the third time I got Ksh. 4 and 50 cents.
My oldest sister dropped from school in Form two due to lack of school fees, and off she went to be employed as a house help; a status she held until she got married. All my other younger sisters, after completing standard eight, could not go to secondary school, again due to lack of school fees. They followed suit and got employment as house helps which continued until they got married.
I was lucky to go to a provincial government high school as I was performing well. However, every holiday I would engage in wage labour with my mother to raise school fees for the following term. My sisters also supported my mother with the little they earned where they were employed as house helps. Nevertheless, the fees balance still accumulated whereby when I opened school for first term Form Three, the deputy principal sent me away for fees and warned my mother not to take me back until all fees was paid. In fact, she advised my mother to take me to a day school, because in this school I was being sent home for fees every now and then. The day schools at that time weren’t performing well and thus my mother, who didn’t have a coin to take me there, dismissed that idea. It was thus obvious that my education had come to an end.
My aunt got me a job at Buruburu in Nairobi, with a monthly salary of Ksh. 700. I worked for three months up to April, but God is good because, the principal of my high school( God bless her), who had been away when the deputy sent me home for good, sent my cousin at the end of first term to tell me to go back to school and be paying little by little. That is the way I completed high school, but with a balance of Ksh. 9,000, which in 1995 was a huge balance.
I got a grade of B- in my exam result, which was good enough to earn me a temporary teaching job in a day secondary school. But I was ignorant of that fact and nobody gave me such a thought. My best friend in the village actually got such a job, but myself, who had even qualified to go to the university, continued working as a house girl.Of course this was the captivity of the devil. By the time I realized that my friend was working as a teacher, there was little time to apply as our university program was about to begin. I thus worked for two good years as a house help before going to the university, and thus managed to clear my high school debt as well as saved a little for my university education, of course with the help of my siblings and mother.
When I got born again, I had the above dream and realized it was a demonic altar that worked against our education and rendered us to hold menial jobs like house helps, with meagre salary. I prayed against this and the testimony now is that presently, none of my siblings, nieces and nephews are working as house helps, and all my siblings children complete secondary school education. I give all the glory to God for breaking this evil altar for us. The cross of Jesus on Calvary finished all the oppression of the devil and his demons, for all who believe and seek this deliverance. Whenever we pray, God hears and answers all our prayers. My brother, my sister, seek the Lord and you will be able to possess your blessings. The Holy Spirit can reveal to you the evil altars that speak against your life and that of your family, and through prayers and fasting you can break them and be free.
Below are the words of Jesus Christ that were prophesied by Prophet Isaiah, and Jesus later read these very words in the temple when he began his ministry here on earth.
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
( Isaiah 61:1 NKJV Bible)
I thank you Lord Jesus for delivering me and my family, and I know you are doing greater things upon our lives.
