ABOUT PASTOR LUCY PAYNTER
A Life Shaped by Faith, People, and the Deeper Work of God
Pastor Lucy Paynter, MA, LMHC, is a pastor, author, Bible teacher,
speaker, and mental health professional whose work brings together
biblical truth, spiritual formation, emotional wellness, leadership,
and the realities of everyday life.
WHO SHE IS
Rooted in Scripture. Attentive to People. Committed to Transformation.
Pastor Lucy’s ministry and professional life have consistently been
shaped by one central conviction: people are rarely changed by
information alone.
Real transformation often begins when truth reaches beneath the
visible surface—into the places where people carry questions,
disappointment, responsibility, wounds, hope, calling, fear,
and possibility.
This conviction shapes the way she preaches, writes, teaches,
leads, and engages people. Whether standing behind a pulpit,
addressing a conference, writing a book, or facilitating a deeper
conversation, Lucy is drawn to the intersection between what
Scripture says and what people are actually living.
HER STORY
Learning to See Beyond the Obvious
Over the years, Lucy has learned that some of life’s most important
work happens in places that are not immediately visible.
People can look strong and still be tired. They can be accomplished
and still be searching. They can love God deeply and still wrestle
with unanswered questions. Leaders can carry responsibility publicly
while quietly neglecting their own inner lives.
Those realities have shaped her voice.
She has become known for noticing what others may pass over—an
overlooked phrase in Scripture, an uncomfortable question, a hidden
emotional pattern, or a spiritual tension that deserves more than
a surface answer.
Her approach is not about making things complicated. It is about
refusing to reduce deep things to shallow answers.
MINISTRY & CALLING
Teaching People to Go Deeper
Pastor Lucy serves as Lead Pastor of Glorious Power Church in
Massachusetts and has ministered through preaching, teaching,
prayer gatherings, conferences, women’s ministry, leadership
development, and international engagements.
BIBLICAL TEACHING
Scripture Beyond the Familiar
Lucy is known for drawing meaning from biblical details that are
often overlooked and connecting them to the questions, struggles,
and possibilities people face today.
PRAYER & REVIVAL
A Call to Deeper Encounter
Prayer, consecration, spiritual renewal, unity, and revival remain
central themes in her ministry and teaching.
LEADERSHIP
Leading From the Inside Out
Her leadership teaching addresses not only vision and responsibility,
but also the inner life of the person carrying the assignment.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Understanding the Whole Person
In addition to her work in ministry, Lucy is a licensed mental
health professional with graduate-level training in counseling
and extensive experience engaging the emotional, relational,
and behavioral dimensions of people’s lives.
This professional background has deepened her understanding of
human behavior, relationships, emotional wounds, boundaries,
resilience, leadership pressure, and the hidden patterns that
often shape how people respond to life.
She does not confuse the pulpit with the therapy room. Instead,
her professional experience gives her a greater sensitivity to
the complexity of the people sitting in the room.
That perspective allows her to speak about faith without ignoring
emotional reality, and about emotional wellness without losing
biblical grounding.

“I am less interested in giving people a moment of inspiration
than I am in helping them recognize what God may be forming
in them for a lifetime.”
That philosophy shapes the way Lucy teaches, writes, leads,
and approaches every invitation to serve.
