Jesus Christ is coming back soon

When I was sixteen years old, in 1993, I had a visitation in form of a dream. I wasn’t born again and though I experienced dreams, which I never bothered about, this particular one was so extraordinary that it couldn’t escape my notice.

In the dream, I was standing outside our main house, looking at the ridge across, known as local 18. I could see many people dressed in different color clothes, singing gospel songs happily and all of them looking up the sky. I moved my eyes up and saw what they were looking at. A white cloud was coming down and inside the cloud was Jesus. I woke up at this point.
This dream plus other four on the end times moved me to think seriously about salvation, which eventually I received. After accepting Christ is the time I reflected on these revelations and understood their meaning.
This dream can be interpreted as showing that the rapture of the church is real. Jesus Christ is coming back soon to take away the church.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV Bible)
Since I was a Catholic, I hadn’t surrendered my life to Christ and that is why I was in a range, far and across where the church was receiving the Lord Jesus. Just as there was a great chasm between the biblical rich man and Lazarus, so is the gap between those in the kingdom of God here on earth and those who have not given their lives to Christ, viewed from a spiritual perspective.
26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.
(Luke 16:26 NKJV Bible)
The two kingdoms are definitely not on the same side. They are far apart. Upon receiving Christ as your savior, you move from the kingdom of the devil to the kingdom of God
39 But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is on our side.
(Mark 9:39 NKJV Bible)
It’s also good to note that the kingdom of God is also on the earth. When the believer receives Christ, He comes in to his or her heart together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, for the Holy Trinity does not operate in isolation, they work together in unity.
Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
(John 14:9 NKJV Bible)
While here on this earth, we are the temple of God
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17
NKJV Bible)
Paul urges the Corinthians not to be yoked with unbelievers but be separate (2 Corinthians 6:16-17)
There are only two kingdoms in existence; the Kingdom of God and that of the devil. Upon receiving Christ, the believer is required to surrender to the sanctification by the Holy Spirit so as to be fully separated from the evil of the previous kingdom where he or she dwelt when he was an unbeliever.
When all this cleansing work of the Holy Spirit is completed, Christ will rupture the church and after judgment, God will create a new heaven and a new earth. God will be our temple in the new earth as we shall be holy like Him,
17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.
(Isaiah 65:17)
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord,
“So shall your descendants and your name remain.
Isaiah 66:22
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
2 Peter 3:13
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
(Revelations 21:1 NKJV Bible)
Therefore on this earth, we house God who consecrates us through His Spirit, and when we get fully righteous, God will house us. In Revelation 21:22-27 , the Glory of the New Jerusalem is described,
22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
(Revelation 21:22-27 NKJV Bible)
When you accept Christ, your name is also erased from the book of death and written in the book of life.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
(Revelation 20:12 NKJV Bible)
In the above dream, though I wasn’t saved, I was able to see Jesus descending, but I couldn’t participate in that glorious event. When Christ comes back in the air, all will see Him but only the righteous will go with Him.
For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day.
(Luke 17:24 NKJV Bible)
Let us therefore accept Christ, allow the Holy Spirit to consecrate us, do the work God called us to do, and when He comes, we shall be bold to meet Him in the air. Amen.
